Who are you?
Power Plant Juice Bar is a Dayton-local plant based cafe with a focus on presenting healthy food that is beautiful and delicious. Megan and Earl, the owners of Power Plant, are Dayton natives and have been passionate about health & wellness for over a decade. When they moved back to Ohio, they opened up The Shakery Juice Bar, a mobile operation, which eventually evolved into their brick and mortar, Power Plant Juice Bar in 2019.
What do you do?
We offer juice, smoothies, smoothie bowls, soup, salads & more! Customers can eat in our cafe, take food to go or oder online! Along with our full cafe menu, we have different juice cleanse options for clients who are interested in a reset or kickstarting healthy habits. We love connecting with our customers and are happy to work with clients in a more personal way to help them decide what options are best for them!
What makes your business special?
We are one of the only plant-based restaurants in the area and we use very high quality and organic ingredients. We do our best to support our community by buying from local farmers, growers and creators. In addition to all of the locally grown produce we use in our menu items, we sell locally made goods in our retail sections. Local growers and businesses that we support include: Boston Stoker Coffee, CHS Environmental Science Program, Dayton Microgreens, Guided by Mushrooms, Patchwork Gardens, and SkinFoodie. In the store, you will also see artwork from local artist Chris Weyrich, better known locally as Etch.
What do you love about Dayton?
We love Dayton because the people that are truly connected to the Dayton scene, care about it so deeply. So many of the locally owned businesses do everything they can to support each other, work together and lift each other up. When you work together, more gets accomplished, and you can quickly see there is enough love to go around. Community is so incredibly important now, and you can definitely find a strong community in the Gem City!
