New Year, New Goals: See How We Kick Off 2025

New Year’s resolutions–you either love ’em or roll your eyes at the mere mention. But here’s the thing: whether you’re all-in on goal-setting or prefer to take a more laid-back approach, there’s no wrong way to kick off the year with intention. At the Jeff Probst Group, we’re all about embracing what works for each of us. Some of us swear by traditional resolutions, while others opt for vision boards, word-of-the-year themes, or just taking a moment to reflect on what matters most. Here’s a peek at how our team is welcoming the new year:

📚 Sean’s Take: “I am not a huge believer of resolutions, but I have a couple things that I want to accomplish in 2025. Read 6+ books this year—2 personal development, 2 health-focused, and 2 fiction. Document and stick to a long-term nutrition plan…no crash diets! Develop a solid foundation for my real estate journey.”

🥘 Cheryl’s Perspective: “Consistent meal prep and planning for the week on Sundays makes EVERYTHING smoother and easier throughout the week for the whole family.”

🏋🏻‍♀️ Corey’s Approach: “My New Year’s Resolution is to lose some weight and be more healthy. I just joined Planet Fitness with my daughter to help this journey. I don’t normally make a resolution, but my daughter wanting to join Planet Fitness and be healthier definitely helped. I want to be healthier for my family for years to come—not that I have had any health scares, but you never know.”

✨ Kait’s Viewpoint: “So I do not make New Year’s resolutions. Shocker! I don’t like New Year’s resolutions because I don’t want to fail and I feel like it runs my life. I like having ideas on what I want to do for the next year. Without having set goals, I feel better if I accomplish something without having the goal.”

📵 Christi’s Plan: “This year my family wants to be more intentional about our time together, so we’re implementing no-screen nights. The adults are probably the worst offenders with constant distractions coming from our phones, so we’re going to be intentional about not having them in the room while we make dinner together, play games, or work on projects as a family.”

🥳 Victoria’s Strategy: “Every time I’ve made a resolution, I ended up failing. Could it absolutely be due to lack of self-discipline? Of course. However, I refuse to continue to set myself up for failure, so instead of making 1-2 big resolutions, I made a BINGO board! It has 25 goals, some bigger than others, that allow me to feel more accomplished as my year progresses. Plus, I get tiered rewards for when I get certain BINGO layouts—and who doesn’t like rewarding positive progress? I even made my daughter, who’s 1 and a half, her own with milestones based on her age!”
